Quality Management Program

It is the policy of the company to maintain a quality system designed to meet the requirements of EN ISO 9001:2008 in pursuit of its primary objectives.
The Board of Directors of UNISIS recognize the importance of Quality Control in the efficient and profitable organisation of its activities and believes that high standards of quality are an integral part of an effective organisation providing its clients and their clients with a quality product.
To this end the Company operates its own Quality Plan and Quality Management System with checklists and maintained records of quality and checks.
The QMS will be operated on all projects regardless of size or complexity and will be subject to regular reviews by senior management in order to ensure its correct operation and effectiveness. These reviews will be based on a program of internal audits which will seek to constantly improve the documented and operational procedures.
The Chief Executive Officer is the Head of Quality Assurance is responsible for the implementation of the Quality Management System.
Regular training of operatives and technical and supervisory staff takes place, reporting to the Managing Director, to ensure awareness and understanding of quality and its impact on customer service.

Health,Safety & Environment Program

Safety Policy

UNISIS is fully committed to meeting its responsibilities to the requirements of Client and local legislative requirements both as an Employer and as a Company. To achieve these objectives it has appointed a designated member of staff to be responsible for Occupational health and safety; to keep workplace health and safety and welfare procedures under constant review; to liaise with the appropriate Health and Safety authorities wherever necessary; and keep the Company and Board of Directors abreast of new legislation, regulations to ensure ongoing compliance with the law.
The main responsibility for health and safety lies with the General Manager. The Company is bound by any acts and/or omissions of the General Manager, any manager, giving rise to legal liability, provided only that such acts and/or omissions arise out of in the course of Company business.
To comply with its statutory and common law duties, UNISIS has arranged insurance against liability for death, injury and/or disease suffered by any of its employees arising out of and in the course of employment, if caused by negligence and/or breach of statutory duty on the part of UNISIS.
UNISIS employees agree as part of their contract of employment, to comply with their individual duties under local legislative requirements and will cooperate with their Employer to enable him to carry out his health and safety duties. Failure to comply with health and safety duties, regulations, work rules and procedures regarding health and safety, on the part of any employee may lead to dismissal, in the case of serious breaches or repeated breaches; such dismissal may be instant and without prior warning.
UNISIS has instituted a system of reporting accidents, diseases and dangerous occurrences.
UNISIS will comply with its duties towards employees under local legislative requirements so far as is reasonably practicable in order to:

  • Provide and maintain plant and systems of work that are safe and without risks to health, a safe place of work and a safe system of work.
  • Ensure the safety and absence of risks to health in connection with the use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances.
  • Provide such information, instruction, training and supervision as may be necessary to ensure the health and safety at work of its employees.
  • Make regular risk assessments available to employees Take appropriate preventative / protective measures Provide employees with health surveillance where necessary
  • Appoint competent personnel to secure compliance with statutory duties and to undertake reviews of the policy as necessary

Environmental Policy

UNISIS comprises Inspection and Projects divisions. Within these divisions we provide a comprehensive service of inspection, auditing, expediting, procurement, provision of personnel, training to clients of international standing throughout Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
We are determined to ensure that environmental benefits strengthen the spectrum of our operations. Specifically we will do this by the application of environmental management within the framework of the company and through the efficient operation of UNISIS by providing resources and expertise to make this a practical reality.
In order to achieve this aim UNISIS has the following key objectives:

  • We shall comply fully with and keep abreast of all legal obligations connected with our operations past, present and future.
  • We will ensure that new projects, are managed in a way which minimizes their impact on the environment.
  • We shall make efficient and environmentally responsible use of energy and water.
  • Promote environmentally responsible procurement of goods and services.
  • Minimize waste production as far as is practicable, to reuse or recycle waste where appropriate.
  • To minimize the impact of transport on the environment arising from its own vehicles.
  • To maintain its buildings and grounds in an environmentally sensitive way.
